Sharon - the silver fox b/c of her long gray hair - cooks soup and other delights for us. We just started an in depth study of Colossians... seriously is going to take us 9 months to finish the study. The girl to the right of me in the photo is a visitor from Sweden. Love these girls. Love this time.
"And I said to the one who stood at the gate of the year, 'Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.' And he replied, 'Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than the known way.'" (Minnie Haskins)

another Thursday
Music practice after Bible study, so Ruth, Joy & I hung out. I helped Ruth put together the white board - well after she already had put most of it together... and then the 3 of us hung out in the loft, talked and listened to the practice.
Thursday Nights
My friend Joy at church documents our lives very well with her droid phone. I asked her to send some of th pictures she took of me so that I could share them you and tell ya about my day-to-day with my EPC family.... Let's kick it off with Thursday night. After Bible study we tend to all end up hanging out at church forever... and then a few of us go out somewhere to hang out.
I love the little EPC children. Little Elise Duncanson had fallen into a wall and hurt her ear, so she needed some lovings...
Celeste Gibsons LOVES musical string instruments. She's gotten to play Mary's Little Lamb on Merideth's cello - with help. And she enjoys plucking on Jeremy's guitar. I was holding her and told her she should ask Jeremy if she could play his guitar. (Jeremy leads us in singing 2 songs at the start of Bible study.) She leans over and kisses him on the cheek and then asks him ever so softly if she can play his guitar.

Thursday Class
I co-teach the 6-12 year old Bible study class at my church on Thursdays. What can I say? We're a church plant, so we don't exactly have many classes just yet. :)
Last week was my 'off-week,' so I was able to snap a couple of pictures. It was a 'lite' week in regards to the number we had there... about half our normal size which means it was my pastor's 3 daughters. Side Note: Can we say it's a wee bit intimidating teaching your pastor's daughters.

hello...
One of my flowers! Thought it would be fun to keep one in my car - both for decoration and on hold for just in case I pull my hair back and need a flower to put in it.
Apparently Walt Whitman doesn't pay his taxes. For shame!
Look at what I got in the mail... I think someone needs to call DFACs on me, b/c I must be the worst working mother ever - I've never feed, bathed, or even seen this child of mine. Not sure how I got signed up for this magazine, but it is the 2nd one I've received in the mail. Carrie & I had a good laugh. She pointed out that folks would get a weird picture of me if they only knew me via my mail. I've also received a coupon for free natural weave.

Walking the 'Hood
It's time for another walk-every-street and get an visual update and document on what's going on with everything. Beautiful week to be out and about. Jeremy took the day off and joined me for brief moment during the day. He got to walk Lakewood Avenue. Said it reminded him of a rural Alabama town. Yep. Atlanta is - um - unique when it comes to its inner city. Not like any other city. Definitely feel like I'm cheating so far as community development goes.
