"And I said to the one who stood at the gate of the year, 'Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.' And he replied, 'Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than the known way.'" (Minnie Haskins)

Travel

A friend emailed me this quote today. She saw it on an adoption application, and it made her think of me.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindness." Mark Twain

Love that quote!!! I think it is ssssoooo true!

Another favorite travel quote -

"The world is a book, and you those who do not travel read only a page." Saint Augustine.
